Independently Owned. Uncommon Eyewear.

In 1980, Garry Hapton founded the Brass Monocle, changing the way Calgarians experienced eyewear. What began as a bold idea became a defining influence on the city’s style.

Today, more than 40 years later, Garry alongside Carla and Lav, both proud Brass Monocle alumni, continue that legacy at Sight Unseen Optics, a locally independent optical curating uncommoneyewear from around the world.
