In 1980, Garry Hapton founded the Brass Monocle, transforming the way Calgarians experienced eyewear. What began as a bold idea quickly became a defining influence on the city’s style.

More than 40 years later, Garry -alongside Carla and Lav, both proud Brass Monocle alumni - continues that legacy at Sight Unseen Optics, a locally independent optical boutique curating uncommon eyewear from around the world.

A New Chapter for Sight Unseen Optics

Our final day at our pop-up location has arrived.

What began as a temporary space nine months ago became a special part of the Sight Unseen Optics story, made possible by the incredible support of our amazing clients.

Now, the next chapter begins with a move into our permanent home in the community of Mission.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited, supported, and helped make the past few months so memorable.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home and continuing the journey together.
